I made another version of my Turkey Sausage Goulash tonight for myself and my daughter. I used similar ingredients but no potatoes this time and added protein penne pasta and cheese to this version.

Ingredients:

2 Italian Turkey Sausages (whole-you will slice them up later as they are cooking)

3 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)

1/2 cup of water

1 whole extra large white onion sliced

2 cups of chopped broccoli

4 cups penne pasta ( I used Barilla Protein Penne Pasta)

3 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream

12 medium small tomatoes diced in large chunks (these tomatoes are way larger than cherry tomatoes but way smaller than a normal sized tomato)

1/2 cup of shredded cheese (I used the 4 cheese blend and some sharp cheddar too)

1/2 cup pf shredded mozzarella cheese or two mozzarella cheese sticks cut up into chunks

Loads of my favorite seasoning to my taste: Basil, Oregano, Sea Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Nutritional Yeast, Minced Onions, Lawry's Seasoned Salt, Spansh Blend Seasoning.

Directions:

In one large skillet pan drizzle the EVOO until the bottom is nicely coated

Turn your burner to a medium setting

Place the 2 Italian Turkey Sausages into your pan and cover

Add in the onions, broccoli and tomatoes

Add in the water

Add your combination of seasoning

Allow everything to cook at a slow simmer for approximately 10-12 minutes

While in the pan now slice up the sausages into bite sized medallions

Allow to cook another 10-15 minutes on a low setting until the broccoli is tender and your sausges are fully cooked.

Now add the cheese and heavy whipping cream and mix into sausage and vegetables until creamy and allow to simmer slowly for a minute or two.

Now serve while nice and hot in a bowl you can add some crusty bread or a roll to your meal if you desire. I eat it alone and it is tasty, healthy and really satisfies!
